Sharjah International Commercial Arbitration Centre “Tahkeem” has signed an MoU with Sharjah Entrepreneurship Foundation – “Ruwad”. The agreement stipulates that Tahkeem will provide its arbitration advises for Ruwad’s projects, with the aim of taking the economic and vital sectors to more competitive and professional levels.
His Excellency Sultan Abdullah Bin Hadda Al Suwaidi, Chairman of Sharjah Economic Development Department, said that the signing of the agreement between “Takheem” and “Ruwad” comes within the framework of achieving coordination and integration and uniting joint efforts between the two parties to serve “Ruwad”.
His Excellency also added that the Sharjah Center for International Commercial Arbitration will bring valuable experience to the agreement, and will therefore contribute to providing sound legal advice for entrepreneurs and business leaders in Sharjah.
He continued, “By providing training programmes and joint workshops, in addition to exchanging knowledge, experiences, and information, this partnership embodies the strength of the industry in Sharjah. The partnership will serve the business community to achieve and deliver.”
For his part, His Excellency Abdullah Deaifis, Chairman of the Executive Committee of Takheem, said: “This agreement with Ruwad is a positive step forward for the arbitration industry in the region. Takheem will organize applied training courses, as well as a range of seminars. The intention of the agreement is to spread and share the culture of arbitration among legal circles, businessmen and companies, and assist in resolving disputes easily and flexibly according to the best arbitration methods.”
Deaifis added that the Emirate of Sharjah is witnessing rapid developments and diversity in its economy, with a great turnout of investors from inside and outside the country. The concerted efforts, therefore, between the various government bodies is important to supporting a healthy, safe, and developing economic investment environment.
